I created Embroidered By Sam back in 2020, right after I graduated high school when I was 18, during the pandemic. I posted a video of myself hand embroidering a sweatshirt on TikTok and it went viral. I had gotten tons of comments of people saying they would love to buy something from me. I was so excited within just a few days I created an Instagram page for "Embroidered By Sam".

I took in my first batch of 20 orders. About 10 orders in my parents saw me struggling and suggested getting an embroidery machine. After a lot of research, my dad bought me my first ever embroidery machine. I completed my first 20 orders and launched my first website on September 3, 2020.

For months after, I struggled to get consistent sales. I finally made a Tiktok and none of my videos would do much of anything. I was getting discouraged because I felt like I knew I had such a good product but it just wasn't being seen by my target audience.

Finally, I had a video go viral... then about a month later I had my big break and went super viral! I woke up to 600 orders overnight. This video went viral in May of 2021, it took me 4-6 months to complete every single order because I was such a perfectionist and refused help for way too long. 

My mom was laid off from work due to the pandemic so my business taking off when it did was truly a blessing for my family. She has been home helping me with my business ever since! My dad had back surgery so he is on disability but he helps in so many aspects of my business such as inventory and packaging.

 

Once I started growing my little team of family and friends and started using machines I really wanted to change my business name because I felt like "Embroidered By Sam" no longer fit. We brainstormed so many ideas, I was looking for something creative, unique, and cute, just like my product! Suddenly, it hit me, MEMBROIDERIES! Memories + embroideries, memories embroidered, Membroideries!

We have now been in business over 3 years and have shipped close to 10,000 orders! I am so grateful for TikTok changing my life completely. I get to work my dream job every day with the people I love most making others smile!
